Fairchild & Brave invites authors to submit completed manuscripts for consideration across our literary and nonfiction categories.
We look for work with a clear purpose, thoughtful execution and a compelling reason to be read. Our traditional publishing imprint is selective; other manuscripts may be recommended for partnership publishing or author services where appropriate.

Submission Requirements

Please ensure your manuscript meets the following requirements before submitting:

  • Completion: We consider completed, polished manuscripts rather than works in progress.

  • Font: Calibri, 12-point.

  • Spacing: Standard spacing.

  • Prose, fiction and nonfiction: Submit the first six pages for evaluation, following the submission instructions.

  • Drama: Submit six scenes.

  • Poetry: Submit the complete collection.

Please ensure that the material you submit corresponds to the correct genre and that your submission is properly formatted.

    Submission does not guarantee publication. Traditional publishing decisions are based on editorial selection and the publisher’s publishing objectives.

    If your work is not selected for traditional publication, we may recommend another pathway where appropriate. Any paid service will be presented as a separate arrangement, with its costs and terms made clear before work begins.
